Air Conditioning Repair in North Richland Hills
Several of the customer reviews on our site come from NRH homeowners. Victoria R. wrote that our technician showed up within the hour and found the problem within 20 minutes. Cynthia R.’s AC stopped at night, and we were there first thing the next morning to repair her 16-year-old unit. We aim for the same on every call: a fast visit and an honest read on your system. Davina M.’s story is a good example: her warranty company quoted her thousands, and the actual repair cost far less. We give you the real diagnosis and the real price.
North Richland Hills homeowners should call for AC repair when they notice:
- The outdoor unit hums, but the fan does not spin
- Electric bills rising while your AC habits stay the same
- The house feels sticky and humid even while the AC is running
- Short cycling, when the AC turns on and off every few minutes
- The system runs nonstop and never reaches the set temperature

North Richland Hills AC Repair: Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer same-day AC repair in North Richland Hills?
Yes. Norco Air offers same-day dispatch for AC repair in North Richland Hills, and we dispatch from our shop at 5512C Midway Rd in Haltom City. Call (817) 484-0472, describe what the system is doing, and we will book the first available visit. Our vans carry common repair parts, so many problems are fixed on that first trip.
How much does AC repair cost in North Richland Hills?
The price depends on what failed. A capacitor or a clogged drain line is a small repair, while a refrigerant leak or a failed compressor costs much more. We diagnose the system first and give you the exact price in writing before any work starts. There are no overtime or weekend fees.
What temperature should I set my thermostat in summer?
The U.S. Department of Energy suggests 78°F when you are home and awake, and a higher setting when you are away. If your North Richland Hills home cannot hold 78°F on a hot afternoon, that is a sign the system needs a check, not a lower setting.
Is a ductless mini split a good option for my home?
A ductless mini split is a strong fit for additions, garages, bonus rooms, and any room your central system does not cool well. It often solves one hot room for less than upsizing the whole system.
What should I do if my AC freezes up?
Switch the thermostat from cool to off, leave the fan on to help melt the ice, and check the air filter. Do not keep running a frozen system, since that can damage the compressor. If it freezes again after thawing, call us to check refrigerant and airflow.
