Common AC Problems We Fix in Hurst
Typical AC problems in Hurst include units that hum but will not start, systems that freeze up overnight, and water leaking from the indoor unit. These usually point to a bad capacitor or contactor, low refrigerant, or a clogged condensate drain. With stocked vans, many of these repairs are finished on the first visit, with the price agreed before we begin. If a repair is not the best use of your money, we tell you why and show you the cost of a replacement side by side.
Hurst homeowners should call for AC repair when they notice any of these warning signs:
- Some rooms stay much warmer than others
- Short cycling, when the AC turns on and off every few minutes
- Warm or lukewarm air from the vents, even with the thermostat set low
- Ice on the copper refrigerant lines or the indoor coil
- The outdoor unit hums, but the fan does not spin

Hurst AC Repair: Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer same-day AC repair in Hurst?
Yes. Norco Air offers same-day dispatch for AC repair in Hurst, and we dispatch from our shop at 5512C Midway Rd in Haltom City. Call (817) 484-0472, describe what the system is doing, and we will book the first available visit. Our vans carry common repair parts, so many problems are fixed on that first trip.
How much does AC repair cost in Hurst?
The price depends on what failed. A capacitor or a clogged drain line is a small repair, while a refrigerant leak or a failed compressor costs much more. We diagnose the system first and give you the exact price in writing before any work starts. There are no overtime or weekend fees.
Should I repair or replace my air conditioner?
Look at three things: the age of the system, the cost of this repair, and how often it has failed recently. If the unit is older and the repair is large, replacement often costs less over the next few summers. We give Hurst homeowners both options with real prices so the decision is yours.
What temperature should I set my thermostat in summer?
The U.S. Department of Energy suggests 78°F when you are home and awake, and a higher setting when you are away. If your Hurst home cannot hold 78°F on a hot afternoon, that is a sign the system needs a check, not a lower setting.
Why is water leaking from my indoor AC unit?
Most leaks come from a clogged condensate drain line or an evaporator coil that froze and is now melting. Turn the system off to protect your ceiling and floors, then call us. Clearing a drain line is usually a quick repair.
